Cypress Preventive Imaging is the first certified SHAPE (Society for Heart Attack Prevention and Eradication) Center of Excellence in Houston, and has the only low radiation electron beam CT scanner (EBCT) being used for full body scanning and diagnostics in the entire Houston area, and only one of five in the entire state of Texas. EBCT has less radiation than a mammogram but has a higher resolution with less radiation than the newer, regularly used CT scanners.
Over the past two years the EBCT's precistion of diagnostic accuracy has "incidentally" found over 40 cases of undiagnosed Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB) here in the north Houston area, plus approximately 150 Aneurysms, and 120 Cancers of which 80% have been surgically cured because they were discovered early
